This simple rule describes best what the well known Italian label Malo is about.
Simplicity, fantastic fabrics ,pure Italian sporty elegance, clean designs and cuts turn every Malo product in a High Fashion piece which should be in every gentlemen's wardrobe.
Malo was found in the 1970th in Liguria/Portofino by Alfredo & Giacomo Canessa. The idea was born during a fresh summer night when a lot of Italian men took out their classy Scottish straight cut cashmere pullovers. During this night they had a vision of a well tailored modern cashmere knitwear. So they took all their courage and produced their first pieces with a big success. Their pullovers were sold like hot cakes so they decided to move to Florence to establish their label. At the Pitty Imagine Fashion trade show Malo also captivated not only the Italian customers but the Americans, Germans and as well the Asian ones. That is how a fantastic label took its steps into the Fashion Olymp. During the 80th Malo opened several highend stores in Italy, New York City, Düsseldorf, Paris & Tokio. So they spread their sense of understatement and timeless elegance all over the world.
More than 30 years later Malo remained faithful to its principles.
That's why I like to present the new Malo S/S 2016 collection to you.
I had the opportunity to have a sneak peek of these wonderful pieces last November at the Press Day of TASK PR in Munich.
This collection shows best what I've been already talked about. The typical timeless elegance in combination with a sporty twist.
Inspired by the Ligurian sea and it's sundowns this collection became a declaration of love to the Italian countryside and beauty of nature. So it's obvious that only the best fabrics could be used (like Mongolian Cashmere, silk, cotton & linen). The warm & soft cashmere gives you such a pleasurable feeling on your skin that you never want to wear other cashmere products again.
My absolute favorite pieces of the coming collection is the double breasted blue blazer & the whole outfit with the beige leather jacket. But all the others products are stunning as well!
In summary I have to say that Malo has found the perfect balance of high quality fabrics, understatement elegance but as well to move with the times. Malo is a fantastic choice for every sophisticated knitwear lover!
