The Dapper Report

College inspiration. For those who did not know I spent some time in an English college. This is a little tribute to that time.
I have to say that I always loved to wear the uniform, that also explains my fable for blazers and suits.

With the inspiration of that time I tried to turn the very formal uniform into a casual chic look.
That is also the story behind the crazy search for this bee slipover.
It was definitely so hard to find it. I really don't know how many Gucci shops I called without  success.
I really have to thank the stuff of the Gucci shop in Düsseldorf who helped me to find the last one in my size in Florence.

Well slipovers hadn't the best reputation the last years, but for me it is an big upcoming trend. If you combine it in the right way it can look super cool and dapper.
And I mean if Adidas sandals and tennis socks became a trend so why not going back to super classy as well?

I decided to combine it with an Oxford shirt, a classy dark blue blazer, a green tie, crocodile belt, a pair of jeans and brown boots.

Welcome to the sun! Long time no see. I'm super happy that the days are getting warmer. Obviously these pictures were taken on a day a little frostier than 26°C.
I'm wearing one of my all-time favorite trends shearling.
This jacket is by Brunelli Cucinelli and the quality is breathtakingly good.
It is one of my most expensive pieces in my wardrobe.
It is easily to combine with a turtleneck, beige pants and sneakers.

Fit in den Frühling. Das ist mein Kredo für 2018. Nach einem anstrengenden Examen und längerer Krankheitsphase möchte ich mehr für meinen Körper und Geist tun. Die sogenannte Work-Life Balance wieder ins Gleichgewicht bringen und gleichzeitig mich für den kommenden Sommer vorbereiten.
Bisher hatte ich vor dem Examen ausschließlich Personal-Training gemacht, um mich fit zu halten, jedoch hat mir dabei etwas die Abwechslung gefehlt. Umso mehr freue ich mich, dass ich die Möglichkeit habe mit dem Aspria Hannover zusammenzuarbeiten.

Aspria ist eine Kette exklusiver Sport und Spa Clubs in Europa. Neben dem Club in Hannover gibt es noch 3 weitere in Deutschland: 2 davon in Hamburg und einen in Berlin.
Das Konzept dieser Clubs zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass eine einladende und zugleich exklusive Workout-Atmosphäre geboten wird, sowie ein großzügiger, zum Entspannen einladender, Wellnessbereich.

Ich war tatsächlich jeden Tag da, während ich in Hannover war und dass ist der großen Abwechslung geschuldet die dieser Club bietet.

Meine täglich Routine sah wie folgt aus:

Getting fit for spring. That's my motto for 2018. After my stressful time of final exams and my illness I thought it would be time to work on my body and soul again. Getting the work-life balance back to normal and shaping my body for the coming summer season.
Before my examination I only had personal training to keep me fit. But I have to admit that this kind of training was a little to one dimensional to me.
That is why I am even more happy to announce my coorporation with Aspria Hannover.

Aspria is a company with several exclusive sport & wellness clubs in Europe. There are 3 more in Germany: 2 in Hamburg and one in Berlin.
The concept of this club is to creat an inviting and exclusive atmosphere as well as a big relaxing wellness area.

If you believe me or not I went every day into the gym because of all those training opportunities you have at Aspria.

My daily workout routine looks like this:

A bit in a hurry. Taking some pictures of the outfit, hair totally on fleek ... obviously not ... and afterwards looking for a kitchen. That describes best how these pictures were taken. Sure these pics are not the best I ever made but I wanted to post them to show you a bit of reality behind social media.

Especially the last year I felt super uncomfortable in my body. Because of stress I lost a lot of hair, I lost 11kg. I worked out a lot but social media always rubs you in the face that you have to eat more healthy, you should have more muscles, you should smile all the time. But that is not the reality. Right now I'm working on loving myself again. I'm eating cleaner but in a healthy way instead of eating nothing. I try to get my hair back with medicals and some shampoos. If this isn't working I'm going to have a hair transplantation. (btw my hair is the biggest problem I have with my body: I really like my face but because of hair loss I got a bigger forehead. I really hate it and that's why I'm working on it.)

First step to love yourself again is that you realize that there is and ever will be somebody smarter, somebody prettier and somebody richer. But that should never have an impact on your self-worth. Everyone is different and perfect in her/his own way. And this is the biggest gift: the uniqueness. Turn your weakness into your strength.

Besides focus on everything you are greatful for in your life. I'm super thankful for the privileged life I'm living, my health and all the good things that happened so far.
